Today, heart diseases have become frequent among people and it is the leading cause of death in the world. It also causes disability and with the growing of age your chances of heart diseases increase. New- developments and discoveries in medicine have controlled the fatalities in heart diseases, though the treatment of heart diseases is expensive. Men are more prone to heart diseases than women. For men who are over 45 and women above 55, are at greater risk of heart attacks and diseases. Heredity is also an important cause for it and such people are the most vulnerable to heart diseases.

Eat healthy nutritious food

A healthy nutritious food is very essential in heart diseases; it helps to lower blood pressure and cholesterol.  Keep away from fatty and spicy foods like-butter, cream and burgers etc. one must include fresh vegetables and fruits in his diet and lower added salt or sodium in his food habits. Obesity and diabetes can also be prevented if you rightly follow a nutritious healthy diet.

Control high blood cholesterol

It is very important to control the high cholesterol; to do this you should take a diet which is low in saturated fat and cholesterol but high in fiber. Maintain a regular weight and exercise regularly. If you an adult, it is advised to get your cholesterol checked once in every five years. If your doctor finds your cholesterol level high, he would prescribe you certain medicines to keep it controlled.

Control diabetes

People who have diabetes are at great risk of heart stroke. Hence, keep a check on your diabetes by exercising regularly and following a sugar free diet. Stress also contributes to heart attack; keep away from anxieties and tensions.

Quit smoking

Smoking is fatal in heart diseases as it increases high blood pressure and stroke. Simply quit smoking and tobacco to lead a healthy life. Your risk of heart attack decreases with quitting of smoking and tobacco.

Weight

An overweight person is quite prone to heart diseases. Overweight causes heart to work harder and put an intense pressure on the vital muscle. Hence, maintain your weight by physical activities and eating rich fresh foods and fluids. Drink at-least 8 to 10 glasses of water everyday. Increase the intake of fresh fruits and vegetables. People who are inactive and follow no healthy routine often become over-weight which later invites heart diseases and several health issues.

Avoid coffee and heavy drinking.

Excessive intake of Coffee and drinks block the arteries and restrict the smooth flow of blood, which leads to heart-stroke. Thus, lower the intake of these harmful fluids in your life. The other cause of heart diseases occurs in those people who have a bad temper and tend to aggressive very quickly. Such people run at high risk of heart diseases.
